Thursday, August 29, 2024 || 11:30 am - 2 p.m. || Under the SVM Overhang
Thank you for helping to welcome the incoming class of 2028. Our goal is to gather a well-rounded and representative group of members—urban, rural, small animal, large animal, equine, specialists, wildlife, public health, and more—to show students the many ways they can use their future veterinary medical degrees in the state of Wisconsin.
The WVMA is looking for 40 member veterinarians* to join us at our Student Orientation Luncheon under the UW SVM overhang on August 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Veterinarians will arrive before students and have lunch as a group. Our aim is to have two to three students with each veterinarian. Students will rotate to several different mentors throughout the 75-minute lunch. The only thing to bring is your willingness to share your experience, insight, and time.
Please email a high-resolution (500 kb minimum) recent photo of yourself to lsmith@wvma.org. To ensure students will be able to identify you and seek you out, they will be given a handout with photos and bios of attending veterinarians.
*Due to the limited capacity and limited parking during move-in week, not everyone who expresses interest will be able to attend.
Our thanks to this event's sponsors: BMO, Hill's Pet Nutrition, Lakefield Veterinary Group,
SVA Certified Public Accountants, and Vet Receptionists.
